For our final event of the season, Ptilia is performing in and hosting a group concert of selected pieces from Pauline Oliveros’ ‘Sonic Meditations’. Oliveros’ work has been extremely influential to us over the past year, as we find an increasingly greater need to and listen much more deeply to one another and our environment.
The Sonic Meditations are text-based scores which rely on presence within our surroundings in which, as Oliveros had said “music is a welcome by-product”.
