In her Sonic Meditations, Pauline Oliveros emphasizes the importance of the breath, of being an observer of one’s own breathing. Inspired by this attention, we invite you to ‘Breath Cycles II’, a performance event of new site-specific scores by Ptilia Ensemble, which are contoured to the venue space : Pyramida Center for Contemporary Art. The concert comes after a day-long retreat where Ptila meets to study pieces from Oliveros’ Sonic Meditations workbook, deepen our own creative practices as a group and develop the new scores together.
